Individuals who wish to obtain Mandatory Continuing Legal Education/Continuing Professional Development [MCLE/CPD] credit from web-based, online courses provided by the Lex Mundi Learning Network will need to apply (self-filing) for credit in accordance with their jurisdiction’s regulating agency. Certain conditions, including a Q&A component, may attach to qualification for credits of online courses.

Accepts live webinar programming for MCLE/CPD credit. MCLE/CPD credits are available for the actual time spent by the lawyer participating in “real time” on-line courses, streamlining video, web and/or telephone courses with Q&A provisions established.


Manitoba
Accepts live and on-demand webinar programming for MCLE/CPD self reporting credit.


New Brunswick
Accepts live/real-time online programming for MCLE/CPD credit. MCLE/CPD credits are available for the actual time spent by the lawyer participating in “real time” on-line courses, streamlining video, web and/or telephone courses with Q&A provisions established.


Quebec
Accepts live and on-demand webinar programming for MCLE/CPD credit. All the training activities that meet the criteria of the Règlement sur la formation continue obligatoire des avocats can be approved by the Comité. In order to keep the mandatory education accessible to all lawyers, the recognition is not limited to courses offered in a classroom (lectures, conferences, luncheons, training activities related to a conference). These training activities can also be completed remotely (webinar, elearning or other technology).


Saskatchewan

All solicitors and registered European lawyers (RELs) in legal practice or employment in England and Wales must comply with the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority's (SRA) continuing professional development scheme (CLE/CPD scheme).


Ireland

Accepts live and on-demand webinar programming for MCLE/CPD credit.


Netherlands


Netherlands
The Netherlands Bar Association does not pre-approve MCLE/CPD. Advocates must submit the program material and certificate of attendance with the application for credits.


Scotland


Scotland
Live and on-demand webinar programming can be submitted for MCLE/CPD credit approval. The Society does not accredit any particular course provider and the onus is on a solicitor to exercise his/her own reasonable judgment in relation to the quality of education/training and what education/training is relevant to his/her particular practice.

Puerto Rico

Online Programming: Credits collected through non-traditional teaching methods [live and on-demand webcast] may not exceed eight credit hours, or one-third of the total credit hours required. In order to receive credit for Lex Mundi Learning Network courses, complete the Uniform Application for Approval of CLE and the Uniform Certificate of Attendanceand submit these forms directly to the Puerto Rico Bar, along with a copy of the course material and Lex Mundi Learning Network Certificate of Viewing.
